Veteran Nollywood actor, Babawande, actress Iyabo Ojo and others have called out the president of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the situation things in the country under his administration.
This call comes after Nigerian government increases price of petrol to N617 per litre following a visit to one of the NNPC filling stations in the Central area of Abuja on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
Reacting to this, Babawande who is a Yoruba movie legend expresses his utmost displeasure toward the Tinubu’s government adding that the hike in price of petrol has resulted in the inflation in the price of goods and sevices.
According to Babawande, Yoruba has been wanting to be the president of Nigeria following by attempts Awolowo and Abiola that were all futile.
He stated that now that Tinubu has gotten what he wanted, he should use his power as the president of Nigeria to improve the life of the citizens of the country who are already experiencing hardship following an increase in petrol price.
He further advised Tinubu to open borders to allow the influx of food and also tells him to provide jobs for the youth so as to reduce unemployment.
