A disturbing video now going viral online shows a Niqobite woman severely beaten by her husband, an Alfa, over a dispute involving just N800 in Ibadan, Oyo State. The assault left her with a badly swollen face and visible injuries.
The incident occurs at Morubo, Apete in Ibadan as the Alfa beats his niqobite wife to pulp despite the fact that she has a stroke.
The Niqobite wife, also known as Eleha, revealed that in the early hours of May 6th, 2025, her husband requested sex but she didn’t respond. Later, when she fully woke up, she asked him for money to feed herself and their two sons. After he ignored her, she checked his purse, found ₦800, and took it. According to her, this triggered a violent reaction, with her husband brutally assaulting her over the money.
This particular woman is known to be very hardworking—she sells pepper and other items in the area to make ends meet. Meanwhile, her husband neglects his responsibilities; he neither pays their children’s school fees nor takes any interest in their welfare.
The marriage is polygamous, and according to reports, this isn’t the first time he has physically assaulted his wives—especially Eleha. He is known for frequently beating them, all while identifying himself as an “Alfa” under the name Al-Sunnah.
This abuse has been ongoing. Fellow Nigerians, we urgently seek your help—this woman is in a helpless situation. Even her mother-in-law supports her son’s actions and has asked her to leave the house.
