It is pertinent we call the attention of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the incessant destruction of lives and properties in Nigeria, particularly Plateau and Kaduna States.
While some parts of the country enjoyed the yuletide, some parts scampered for safety while some families observed both Xmas and New year celebration in bitterness, haven lost their families and loved ones to the cold hands of death in the name of banditry.
As students of history, we clearly understand that mother of crisis in Nigeria started just like this, those who have lost their loved ones may want to revolt, knowing well that they may not get justice for the dead and so they may decide to settle for ” Eye for an eye” which will obviously make the whole country go blind someday.
The safety of lives and properties should top the priority list of any serious and sincere government.
We charge government both at Federal, State and Local Government levels to stand up against threats to security, defend the armless citizens and ensure that perpetrators of this dastardly act are brought to book in no distant time.
We the leadership of Yoruba Council of Youth Worldwide, condemn the senseless destruction of lives and properties under whatever guise, such ungodly and unruly act must be discouraged in totality before it becomes another thing, the country is yet to recover from the backwardness occasioned by Boko Haram and Herdsmen Banditry.
We equally charge security agencies to take the bull by the horn by unraveling the secrets and evil agenda behind this killings.
In thesame vein, the Senators and Honorable members representing the affected constituencies shouldn’t fold their arms while their constituents are being slaughtered and murdered in cold blood like chicken.
Injury to one is an injury to all…….Stop The Killing Today, Every Life Matters!
